Hello, tired parent
I am a midwife and nutritionist who has worked with hundreds of families over the past 10 years. After qualifying I set off volunteering in Sri Lanka, practising in New Zealand, and working with private families in the USA. Experiencing the personal journeys many families take beyond parenting, has helped me understand the wide range of family dynamics.
For me, Blossom is about preparing parents for the uncertainty and hiccups along the journey. Calm, supported parents often feel adaptable, able to cope with change, that parenting is just another step in their life.
With the internet available 24/7, it’s completely normal to search, self-diagnose and become overwhelmed by what to do next. Blossom aims to support parents, and parents-to-be, to better understand normal baby behaviour so you’re not trying to endlessly fix something that’s just a phase.
Managing expectations in a calm, science-backed, instinct-driven and holistic manner can help make the journey smoother – enabling you to feel more confident (and awesome) in your parenting style.
